Specs: Windows XP
My computer I think had gotten a virus because I couldn't access my desktop so I reformatted my hard drive.. I was happy that the day before I had for whatever reason thought to backup some of my more important files, as in my photos..That's all I really cared about where my photos which I had put on my flash drive which was working perfectly fine.. I had used it early yesterday and it was fine, and last night I plugged it into the usb port and nothing.. It didn't light up, the computer won't recognize it and I even tried it on two other computers and it's the same.. I noticed that if I leave it plugged into the usb port for about 5 to 10 minutes, it becomes extremely hot!! I mean really hot to touch! What I would like to know is, is there any way to somehow extract my files, from the drive? I tried a few programs but they weren't what I needed.. I just want my photos!! Please any help would be appreciated.. Would it be worth going to a professional??
