Hello i have a old p 166 im trying to get running. I had 98 installed but it was getting alot of illegal errors and then it got some kind of error that would not let be start windows along with a illegal error from exploer. So i formatted the drive. But it still has bad sectors and needs to be fixed. Can someone please help? Its a 10 gig WD Harddrive. I got software from WD but it don't work. Please don't reply with software from WD is the only thing there has got to be something else. What about a program like east tech earaser? "I got software from WD but it don't work" Are you sure you got the RIGHT software from WDC? Do you know how to use it? You have to create a bootable floppy, boot off it, then run the diagnostics from DOS.
