I recently bought a 37" LCD widescreen Polaroid TV, which has a VGA input, and I´ve used 2 CPUs with it, the first one did adjust itself by plug and play and fit the widescreen perfectly, but I can´t make the second one to do the same. I supposed I had to download a driver, but I can´t find any,can you tell me any URL where I can get something useful? or maybe some tips about how to configure my device administrator to do the necessary adjustments.

Do not forget, remember we'll only be memories.

As I've seen a non-constructive critic instead of a good answer (get a life pal!), I'll try to explain myself better by re-writing my comment, it will obviously be wrong but I think the idea might be clear:

I recently bought a 37" LCD widescreen Polaroid TV (mod TLA-03723BM), which has a VGA input, and I´ve used 2 COMPUTERS with it, the first one did adjust itself by plug and play and fit the widescreen perfectly, but I can´t make the second one to do the same. I supposed I had to download a driver, but I can´t find any. Can you tell me any URL where I can get something useful FROM POLAROID? or maybe some tips about how to configure my device administrator to do the necessary adjustments. I DON'T KNOW WHICH IS THE MODEL OF MY VIDEO CARD, BUT IT´S THE ONE INCLUDED IN MY "CHIPSET" MOTHERBOARD (and please abstain in saying unnecessary commentaries about my lack of computer vocabulary!) Thanks to the people who really want to help!

You need to go to your device manager and looks for your video card there. To do that, click on start, and then right click system, and then click on device manager, check the hardware tab, and then go to display adapters and tell us what it tells you. One you have looked that up tell us what you have, or do a search at the website that you graphics card is manufactored. Either ATI or NVIDIA.

A CPU is NOT a computer & I'm not the only one in these forums that objects to the misuse of the term. You gotta grow some thicker skin.

My spanish isn't too good but the only place I could find your TV/monitor listed was on the Polaroid-Mexico site. There doesn't appear to be a driver available:

That leaves you with the graphics driver & we can't help you with that unless we know the make/model of your PC, or the make/model of your motherboard or at least the chipset it's based on.

Went through this same exact thing last fall, only with a 37" VIZIO. The driver provided by the manufactuer of the video card was not capable of providing the correct resolution and refresh rate for the TV screen (as defined in the owner's manual for the TV). I spent a lot of time fooling with it and finally tried this third party software (shareware):

It worked! You have to do a little reading and experimenting to get what you want, but it did work. I would have happily paid for the software, but due to other reasons I did not use the computer that needed it. Which is what's nice about shareware.
