Hi
Is there a cable that converts from the Firewire(IEEE1394) to USB 2.0? Since I want to transfer the video from the Canon Z300 camcorder to my computer, but my computer doesn't have the firewire port. Thank you so much.

If you have a free PCI slot, you could get a firewire card.

Firewire card is the only way. They range from like 69$ (CompUSA) to 10$ (Ebay), and they all will do exactly the same thing.

Here are three that will fit the bill. I've always liked Tigerdirect because they are as cheap as eBay. Note the last one has both types of firewire (6 & 4pin) connectors.
