My problem is kinda head banging. A week back, my secondary Maxtor SATA hdd (120GB) went to RAW mode. Cant access to my videos and holiday photos and IE keeps hanging whenever i try to open the secondary disk. Went to format and re install my Vista Home Premium on my main drive C (needs to anyway). In the midst of installing, i deleted the old partition in my C drive as well as my Maxtor hdd and format it clean. Now, everything is ok except I just realized i stored my pixs inside the Maxtor hdd. I did try a few demo versions of the data recovery software, but none can help much. Please HELPPP MEE!!! just need to recover my pictures.

Sorry but I think only a high class software can restore files on a formated hard drive. Like what the FBI uses for insvestigation.

Why don't you try stellar phoenix hard drive recovery software for more info you can go here:

Did you use QUICK format or full format? If quick format then try using testdisk. May be able to repair the partition.

Spinrite might do it
