I have a WD400EB HDD with a few Kb of windows files on it .I want to install it in a new system(first installed on a 233mhzp1/128ram dell optiplex Gn+/win98).In BIOS standard setup I have to user define the size/cyl/hds/sectr values of the HDD for the system to recognise it. When I try to boot from a win98se startup floppy disk I'm notified that I have to fat32/format/fdisk the HDD. when I type Fdisk at the a:> prompt it reports that there's no fixed disks present? On another try it ran scandisk and stalled in the file allocation table . I cant figure out how to proceed . Any Ideas ?
