Hi there,
I'm having problems with my PC rebooting or freezing! Once that BSOD has appeared with MACHINE_CHECK_ERROR or something simliar, i'm curious as to whether or not its my PSU - A 300W antec device. It happens particularly when playing 3D intensive games such as Brothers in arms or Full spectrum warrior, but has been known to occur also when simplay browsing the web listening to music, does anyone have any suggestions?! ThanksWhat's the point in living, if you can't feel alive

Rebooting and/or freezing are nonspecific symptoms but 300 watts seems meager for your system. Your Antec probably supplies an honest 300 watts but I'd go with at least 350 watts.

Thanks Badboy,
Here's a bit more info about my system:9600XT gfx, 120gb HD, Neo platinum sock 754 mobo
I've had it for around four months now, and have managed to play through HL2, Far Cry etc with no crashing or anything of the sort.... it just seems strange that over the last month its been doing it frequently?! Is the general feeling an underpowered PSU? I'm not OC'ing at all and temperature is consistantly under 45C

Sudden crashing after four months of stability can be caused by several different factors.
1.) Viruses and/or malware/spyware.
Have you checked for these?
2.) Memory that has failing modules.
Have you run memtest?
3.)IRQ interrupt conflicts.
Have you checked in device manager to make sure no two hardware devices share the same IRQ channel?
4.)Bad PSU (very likely)
After time (TBF-time before failure is lower
for lower quality drives) power supplys give inconsistent voltage and "brownouts" occur causing crashes and other problems with stability. Also, have you performed any software/hardware installs/un-installs within this time period?

Hey,
Sorry i'm a bit amateur with this IRQ stuff but here are some items that share the same number:
20 - nForce3 250 Serial ATA Controller (v2.6)
20 - NVIDIA USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller
21 - NVIDIA Network Bus Enumerator
21 - nForce 250 Serial ATA Controller (v2.6)
22 - Realtek AC'97 Audio
22 - Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller
23 - Standard OpenHCD USB Host ControllerI've uninstalled quite a few games / utilities in the past 4 months + and I can't seem to upgrade my gfx drivers either as a result of the screen warping, so I have to revert to the original drivers and turn of VPU reports or whatever it is (ATI card owners will be familiar with this im sure)
