Comment:

ive been asked by a friend to see what the problem could be with their laptop.

it's a fujitsu siemens s6010 lifebook.

it shows the power light coming on and the battery charging ok, but no display.

im not too familiar with laptops, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

could it be the display is broken, or graphics card/chip? ram maybe??

also, are there any good sites where i could buy replacement parts for laptops, as there's loads for pc's, but ive never actually noticed any that cater for laptops

thanks

... plug in a desktop monitor you might have to enter bios @ bootup <F2> ....maybe <F1> key look for and select vga ...save on exit of bios.

... it may just work off monitor without bios selection(?)

... Or tap Function keys <Fn> and another key which should have a symbol on it like a monitor

... tapping <Fn> and another key on top row of keyboard might evoke the screen before you plug in the monitor... worth a try
