Slow is a matter of opinion... You have a crappy board with crappy SiS chipset that only supports single channel RAM coupled with a Celeron, plus a mediocre video card & an underpowered PSU. Did you install the motherboard chipset drivers? Don't pair up the HDDs or the optical drives on the same channel/cable. I recommend either of these configs: prim master = HDD-1 prim slave = CD-ROM 2nd master = DVD burner 2nd slave = HDD-2 prim master = HDD-1 prim slave = CD-ROM 2nd master = HDD-2 2nd slave = DVD burner Use master or slave jumpers...don't use cable select.
