So, i was ghetto rigging a power supply fan. I ripped a 80mm fan out of an old PSU. The fan connects with the red and black wires, just like any other fan. So I took an old fan, one that sucked and took of the 4 pin PSU connector thing and taped it to the PSU Fan. This fan does work in another system BTW.
Here's were everything goes wrong:
I plugged the fan into a normal PSU connector that came from a fan plugged into a FAN-Only PSU connector.PSU -> (Fan only connector) Normal Case Fan -> (Regular connector) Ghetto new fan.
Now the fans and LED's will turn on if I plug the ATX 24pin connector into the mobo whilst it is plugged into the wall. This, however, produces no video.
System Spec:
Antec TruePower 2.0 24 pin ATX 430 Watts
Gigabyte Ga-k8n pro sli
AMD Venice 3000+ 939 (1.8 GHz)
2 x 512 MB Corsair Value select
Gigabyte Geforce 6600gt 128MB PCIE
120 GB WD caviar, ATAVenice 939 3000+ 1.8 GHz up to 2.4 with clockgen in windows, only got HTT to 213 in bios... with Spread Spectrum locked.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I did test two PSU's, they are both 20 pin, mine is 24 pin. The mobo says it supports 20 pin as well, and it has booted with that. I have'nt had a chance to test it with another 24 pin PSU after it broke, only 20 pin ones.
They didn't work anyway.

I was trying to fix a power supply fan.
I removed a 80mm fan from an old power supply.
topcat2007-I am truly lost after this.............
Below is what you described
in ghetto lingo.
So, ah' wuz ghetto riggin' some powa' supply fan. 'S coo', bro. ah' ripped some 80mm fan out uh an old PSU. De fan connects wid de red and brother wires, plum likes any oda' fan. 'S coo', bro. So's I took an old fan, one dat sucked and took uh de 4 pin PSU connecto' doodad and taped it t'de PSU Fan. 'S coo', bro. Dis fan duz wo'k in anoda' system BTW. Here's wuz everydin' goes wrong, dig dis: I plugged da damn fan into some no'mal PSU connecto' dat came fum some fan plugged into some FAN-Only PSU connecto'. PSU -> (Fan only connecto') No'mal Case Fan -> (Regular connecto') Ghetto new fan. 'S coo', bro. Now de fans and LED's gots'ta turn on if ah' plug de ATX 24pin connecto' into de mobo whilst it be plugged into de wall. Dis, however, produces no video. 'S coo', bro. Please ask your question more appropriately.

I am sorry for my poor lingo. I have no idea what to call the 4-pin power supply connectors, (the ones that connect into the Hard-drive, Cd-drive, etc.). My case fans have a female connector for these for pin power supply ones.
I plugged a 4-pin male cable from the power supply into my case fan. The thing about this cable is, it was a "fan-only" cable and lacked some of the wires that the other cables had. The case fan that I plugged into the 4-pin fan-only cable, also had an extra output cable, that had all the wires and wasn't a "fan-only" connector. I plugged my "Ghetto-rigged" Power Supply fan into this, 4-pin power connector from the other case fan. Again, all of this came from a "No-Fan" connector, so I think that is my problem.
So I guess my question really is: What part(s) has gone bad?
Another thing. When I have the power supply plugged in, and I then plug the 24-pin ATX cable into the motherboard, It seems to turn on. The fans on the CPU, Case, HD, and power supply all power up. There is, however, no video output.Venice 939 3000+ 1.8 GHz up to 2.4 with clockgen in windows, only got HTT to 213 in bios... with Spread Spectrum locked.

As I understand it you took a fan from an old power supply and are rigging it as a case fan in your computer? Or are you replacing the fan in the power supply in your computer?
The red fan wire is for a 12 volt connection. The yellow wire from the power supply is 12 volt. The red wire from the power supply is 5 volt. So the red wire from the fan needs to be connected to a yellow wire from the power supply. Then connect the black fan wire to a black power supply wire. I think that's the way you've got it, but I just wanted to make sure.
My guess is you've got everything connected right but screwed up something while you were inside the case. If you disconnect the fan and, as much as possible, put your computer back the way it was originally, does it then boot up?
You may want to reseat the memory, cpu and cards.

Yes, this is an old power supply fan being used as a case fan, (My northbridge is running really hot! 70 C!!!!) But it has been running that hot for a while. Everything should be seated correctly.
It only failed to boot when I plugged the new fan in. The wierd thing is, the fan works in another PC I tested.
My two guesses are:
1.) The power supply or something went wrong when I plugged the fan into the regular port that came from a "fan-only" cable.
2.) The mobo is fried from non-stop 70 C temps. (It was stable before this, however)Oh, is 430 enough power for my system?

AHHHHHHH!
I bought the exact same power supply. Antec True Power 2.0 430 W...... Nothing. So I am thinking the Motherboard is my problem. Any suggestions on a replacement?

I don't have any particular recomendations. But I wouldn't give up on the old one yet. You might disconnect everything that's non-essential--the drives and all the cards except video--and then see if it at least posts.

Are you trying to plug the fan in on the computer you are having problems with using
the same four pin molex plug in?Have you tried another 4 pin plug from your power supply that you know works? You could just have a bad plug in.Maybe you could try the one you have running your CDRom long enough to test and see.
Sorry about the "Ghetto Fan: Episode of mine.
Just never heard "Afro Engineering"updated to "Ghetto"-In the old days "Blank Rigging"
Blank being substituted for a certain minority was used.I thought you were heading
down the wrong path with that.New terms sometimes confuse us old guys.

I have removed the "ghetto" fan. The fan does work on another PC. I am almost sure it is the mobo. The Northbridge has been running at 70 C since I bought it. I tried the exact same power supply on the motherboard, and nothing. No post, nothing plugged in except the motherboard.

Have you cleaned the heatsink and CPU and reapplied thermal paste properly.
This is one of the main reasons for overheating issues.

The below website shows maximum recommended
temperatures.Yours should run Normal at about 50 degrees Celcius.http://www.pantherproducts.co.uk/Articles/CPU/CPU%20Temperatures.shtml
