Hi,

I plan to buy an external hard drive. My bro said he want to buy an external one, cuz there are no more space inside my computer to put an internal drive.

Well, is there any difference between External and Internal Hard Drive? Can we store the OS in External hard drive?
What I plan to use is, my main OS will still in my current internal drive, but I'll install programs/games to the new drive. Is that okay?

For example, my current OS is install in my C drive(internal). When I'll buy my external, it would be my D drive I think. Then I'll install the game in D drive but play using my current OS(which is located in my C drive). I hope this is okay.

Thx.

Your plan is a good one.

For new computer builds, I'm only putting in a small, fast HDD for the OS and using an external USB2 HDD for everything else.

There aren't any extra 3.5 drive bays in your case??
