I was moving a large amount of files within the hard drive using usb 2.0. So the files get done moving, and i try to see the folder so i can get rid of the copied files and start organizing the folders. Well, i can't view the My Music folder because it is not responding. I close it, then try to reopen. After about 30 seconds an error pops up saying the drive is not accessible, the operation could not be performed because of an i/o device error. So, i try it out on other computers, on one it works fine but there are no folders/files, and on another it isn't recognized. Currently, on my computer, the drive goes from having busy lights on to two green ones, and the my computer is almost always non-responsive. I am using a maxtor 3100, and after looking into this problem i'm thinking the outcome isn't looking very hopeful. But, i figured i'd give it a shot, so is there a way to fix this and get my files back?

Does your PC have all the drivers installed from the motherboard disk? USB? Might need updated drivers. Might be a bad USB port. Try another one. <===Lefty=== AMD 64 3200+ 200 GB WD Geforce 5500FX 256 MB 512 MB Ram Needs more. Windows XP
