Hi, I've just purchased a USB IDE external hardrive, but as soon as I turn it on, it makes my wireless Internet connection go from LOCAL AND INTERNET to LIMITED CONNECTIVITY, and as soon as I start transferring files to the external hard drive, it just crashes my computer to the point I have to restart my PC, I'm usin Vista 32Bit, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are evidently overloading the current draw on the common USB controller you are using. USB controllers normally serve two USB ports. Try connecting one of the devices to a different USB port to see if that corrects the problem.

Without any system specs that is about as much help as can be given.
