External hard drive 3TB I:\ is not accessible the parameter

Specs: Windows 7
Hi Sobrien...I have the same issue with I: is not accessible. Parameter is incorrect." and my chkdsk is at here for last 4 hours:

C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk I: /V /X /R
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Volume label is Seagate Backup Plus Drive.

Stage 1: Examining basic file system structure ...
File record segment 369848 is unreadable.

File verification completed.
2284 large file records processed.
1 bad file records processed.

We don't know who you are referring to or what troubles they reported unless you give a link. I assume you have unearthed some old post.

Have you tried the external drive in another computer?

It might have failed for keeps but you could try this on it:
