Hi, I hope someone knows the answer to this.
If I put an 8x DVD dual format DVD burner (Pacific Digital) into a USB 2.0 /Firewire external enclosure (Belkin brand) will I actually get the 8X speed or will it be reduced? My goal is to make an external 8X dvd burner?

The TDK cost $249.99 (this was the best price I found. I paid $80 for the Pacific Digital 8x DVD burner and the Belkin snclosure costs $67. I was hoping to be able to put the DVD burner into the enclosure and basically have the benefits of the TDK drive mentioned in the link in the above post but pay $103 less
