i have a gateway 842 gm media center edtion desktop computer with windows xp intel pentium 4 processor in device manager there is yellow ? next to ethernet controller code 28 i do not know what to do please help me.

Right click on it, choose uninstall and, reboot. If that doesn't work, reinstall the drivers. larry

Don't waste your money. Go out to Gateway's site and see if you can locate the device driver for your Network Card. LIR

thank you jennifer SUMN i uninstalled the ethernet controller restarted the computer that was advice from geek squad and it fixed the problem i hope if not i will geek squad fix it.
