Check out the following link to the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
I think this is the resolution to your problem.http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329354
Let me know how you get on.
BUT THIS PAGE http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329354 NOT EXIST ANYMORE

Hi,
I had this same problem with a MS mouse on sunday. But I hear keyboards have the same errors.
It apears that the problem may be the MSI.dll
file being the wrong version should be 1 not 2,rename this file (In Dos)and the keyboards software will install the correct version. when you install it.
