I had the problem with my brand new Dell system & its mouse & vista. Cursor sometimes jumps around as if it had it's own mind. Followed Seth's suggestion and switched drivers and happens a lot less but still does it once in a while. This is a known issue with VMWare and in a Windows XP VM I'll never quite understand the criteria for determining the relevance of those old posts Maybe it's a Vista problem, I don't know - - often mouse lag can be attributed to an overworked processor, so have a look in the Vista equivalent of Task Manager "CPU/Ram: b" wow - Vista has some weird requirements I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.
