Hi there.
How do i erase an EEPROM chip???
I need to erase an EEPROM chip including the boot block sector. The chip must became as clean as the day it was made. ;)

are you trying to update the bios?
i don't think its possible to earse the eeprom chip without a special machine

You could erase it with a special program, but then that would be a great virus tool for turning systems in to vegetables.

Best to use a EPROM burning machine which has the erase software for doing this, as you will need the machine to program something into it.
