My Epson ran out of ink, so I replaced the ink. For some reason it will now print extremely light, with the new ink in it. I'm not sure why because I've replaced the ink before and had no problems with it. I even double checked everything such as the small pieces of tape they sometimes put on the bottom of the circuit boards of the ink cartridges. When I goto the Epson printer from control panel it says the new (full) levels of the ink, but printing is very very light. I'd cleaned the heads and re-algined and just about every trouble shooting thing I can think of.

Any ideas?

If you mean you refilled the cartridge, well - they don't last forever.

I physically replaced the cartridge and still getting very light print. I didn't inject ink or anything into the old ones and the weak prints started as soon as I installed them.

Any other ideas?

I had the same problem last night with black and cyan. Found on another web site where it is apparently a printer failure and unless you are under warranty, you're out of luck. The Epson help also indicates to call their tech support line. This is definitely my last Epson!
