Hi everyone.
I've been trying to print two jpeg files, using the XP Photo Printing Wizard, on my Epson Stylus 440, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've also tried printing using other files and programs, still nothing, although test print is ok. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mike.
(P.S. the connection is fine).

Hi Bob.
Thanks for your reply. This was going to be the next thing I tried actually. Its worth a go... now I just have to go fish for the driver disc! I'll post if it works.

Most problems with printers, I have found have to do with ink build up and cleaning.
I have picked up Epson 640's and Epson 740's at the dump and all they needed was a cleaning to get them going again. Check out www.fixyourownprinter.com and search Epson440. There is an excellent cleaning link on that site. If you don't find it searching 440 try 640 r 740.
Sometimes the little peice of metal on the left end of the printer gets out of place. I just slightly adjusted it to solve the problem of the paper being pulled backeards on one of the printers.
I allways get Epsons because the cartridges are so inexpensive. I use a generic brand and print lots of catalogs without a problem.
If you have trouble finding the printing instructions I have the link on a different computer and will be happy to provide it whenI am at that computer.

Hi Smasma.
Good of you to write such a long reply! The main problem I have with my Epson (when it is printing that is) is banding and the heads seem to need at least three cleaning cycles before they print nice text/graphics. Like you I use generic cartridges and find these a bargin. I won't need that link that you have on another pc thanks as I'm glad to say that re-installing the drivers did the trick, but the top one looks good - I'll check it out for next time I get a problem.Mike.
