Epson R320 Problems

Can't get my Epson R320 to print. The card reader works perfectly though. The printer works OK on my old P3 with the same drivers (latest all round). An R200 also works on both machines. I asked Epson and got two replies:

1. Install the latest drivers. duh....
2. Are you using Win98SE? duh...

They obviously can't read very well as I gave them all the info. Wonder if it's anything to do with USB. The P3 and the R200 are USB 1.1 and the P4 and R320 are USB 2.0.

Is USB enabled in the Bios?
Any other USB devices working ok?

Yep. I have eight USB ports on the machine, currently running the R200, scanner, SD card reader, UPS, and film scanner. The R320 card reader also works but the system cannot see the printer.

I'm not a USB expert. I hate USB!

I've had problems with USB when I left the device connacted all the time, it wouldn't work. But If I disconnect it, power up and then connect it, it would work.
