Comment: Hi there I have just purchased a new Lexmark two in one printer & scanner. Before that I had an Epson Perfection 1250. I removed all the software to do with the Epson scanner, and every time I try to do a black copy I get the Epson Perfection 1250 box come up asking me what program I want to use. What is going on? And also when I go in the control Panel and try to remove the Copy Utility it says that I no longer have this program on my computer so it can’t uninstall it, and the icon stays in the Add or Remove programs box. Does any one know or a way to totally remove all software to do with this scanner? Oh and I have done a search for all files to do with Epson and deleted them to no avail. Thanks, Amanda

Reply: (edit)If memory serves, drop in your installation disk and see what options you get. I thnk the disc had the Uninstaller on it, this will remove all of the software for you. If not try reinstalling all the 1250 sofware again , than try removing it, with the instal disc. In addition, if you have anty virus software installed desable it, they have been known to prevent items from being removed if located in critical areas of windows. Hope thats some help to you. Good luck Janos
