Comment:

Hi. I'm looking for disk cloning software which will create a duplicate of my entire disk - which is a dual boot Mandrake 10 / Windows2000 configuration. Need to be able to clone entire machine to another, identical one, across a network connection or create a compressed image on a network share. Have been using Ghost2003, which was OK for single W2k config but will not work with Mandrake 10 ! Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks for those. I've downloaded both. The EasUs one only seems to be able to clone one disk to another in the same PC. The Acronis one is looking a little more promising so I'll check it out... now :-)

Did you try the software that's available from the HDD manufacturer?

I've managed to resolve this issue by supplying the switches -ial -id after ghost.exe

Don't know why the tech support at Norton/Symantec couldn't tell me that !!!!

I'd tried several other suggestions (xxcopy, acronis etc.). xxcopy wouldn't and the trial version of acronis would not proceed far enough to allow me a proper test !
