Hi,

I am looking for a small, easy to use machine (not a desktop computer or a laptop) which will allow my mother in-law to send and receive email. If at all possible, it needs to have the ability to display images. Does anybody know of anything similar to this?

Thank you

I am not sure where you are, but here in the UK there is:-

a) an adaptor that allows your tv to be used as the screen for internet/e-mail usage.

b) a telephone that includes a screen that does the same as (a)

-----

In my view both the above have limitations when compared to a normal pc. e.g. cost factors/hard copy.

I note you require easy to use. Just about all technology requires learning and if mother in law is not computer literate she may have have problems adapting at first.

As a matter of interest, where are you based? I am in Hammersmith, West London.

Good luck - keep us posted.

Radio Shack sell an EMAIL TV. Looks like a regular TV, but you use it to send and recieve email.

There are small portable email devices on Ebay, e.g.:

You can also do a search on ebay for "internet tv" or "web tv" etc, for a device you can hook up to the tv set.

She decided to just have me set her up with a Hotmail email account at the library.

Thanks for the info
