I need to restore the motherboard bios for this machine. I've tried flashing the bios from the MSI website but I have been informed that the bios available off the MSI site is not for this computer even though the motherboards appear to be exactly the same. The motherboard in the emachines is an OEM version that MSI does not support!
I emailed MSI and this is what they told me:
" You can not use the channel mb bios for the OEM mb (Emachine) so you will need to contact Emachine for the original bios version:"I've tried contacting emachines about this issue but they are unable to provide me with any information regarding this specific issue. I emailed emachines and they replied with:
"I understand your concern, however, as we have mentioned on the previous correspondence, if you have chosen to update your BIOS with an update not posted on the eMachines website, the original BIOS flash for your system will not be available from eMachines. "
(Emachines does not carry their own bios?... what?!)
I'm hoping someone out there with and Emachines T6212 can capture their bios and email me the correct version that came shipped with it. Please if your out there.. help! My only other alternative is to buy another board from emachines for 150 bucks... ouch. But I much rather hang onto the hope that someone can send me a copy of their bios and poof... problem solved. I would be open to any suggestions.

If someone has a copy of the Emachines T6212 bios please send the bios to : emachinesbioshelp at gmail.comI would be very greatful.

I flashed the bios (with the emachines file) and problem solved. The reason i had to restore the bios to the original configuration from emachines is because I was having some instability issues with my nvidia pci express video card when I upgraded the bios to the MSI version. Once I restored the bios to the original, my video card hasn't froze at all. I'm assuming it was some of the bios settings in the upgraded version that were not properly set. Thank you for all your help!
