Emachines D620

Specs: Windows XP
My son dropped his laptop (emachine d620) on our carpeted upstairs room (maybe 8 inch drop). The laptop worked fine for a while but then we noticed it wasn't charging. Looks like he dropped it on the plug on the side. I need to know how to open it so I can see if it needs to be resodered or just stablized. I am not intersted in paying for anything as it should have come with a manual. If anyone has a manual for all the screws that would help as I have all the screws off that I can see from the bottom. I just seem to be missing something like a latch or a hidden service screw. Anyone able to help? I realize it's best handled by professionals. I still would like to take a look without totally breaking it apart.

I couldn't get a lead on a service manual for that laptop. Below is a link to the other useful info on that laptop.

I suggest you email service there and request a disassemble diagram or service manual. Nothing to lose by trying.
