emachines cmos error

we bought our emachines from pc world and the motherboard battry went so a person from pc world came out and changed it now a month later it has gone again and the warrenty is out of date so i changed the battry and i keep getting this error cmos checksum error defaults loaded but the new battry is keeping the system time and the bios is not losing its setting how come i keep getting this error.

After installing the battery did you reset the BIOS settings ?

If it's keeping correct time after being shut down for a while and you aren't losing the settings, it would seem that it's a false error. It would probably require replacing the motherboard to fix the problem. Since it's out of warranty, you might just have to live with the annoying message.
