Hello Friends,
I have an Emachine that needs a new mobo. The only numbers I can find are AU31-L & D33007. This is an AthlonXP 3200+ machine with FSB400MHZ. Can anyone tell me about this mobo and what will replace it within reasonable price range.

Belly up on the computer. If the motherboard is defective chances are the power supply caused it. Emachines are notorious for crappy power suplies that burn out. When they do they may take other hardware with them.

A computer with those specs isn't worth what it will cost to fix.

Besides that, changing the MBoard will most likely prevent Windows from working. The OEM versions of Windows are keyed to the original motherboard.

You can slave the drive to a different computer to recover any data you need.

search at the emachine web site with the comp model no. and should be able to find your info. As OtheHill posts , you must make sure it is a direct replacement motherboard for emachine, if you do not want to buy a XP cd.
