Hello. I run a local computer repair shop, and just came across something interesting. We had 2 pc's brought to us w/in about 2 hours of each other, both were e-machines Txxxx models. Neither would POST. Upon opening the side of the pc up, we noticed that neither of them had the fan on the heatsink spinning, but both seemed to spin freely when we used our fingers (ie, not clogged w/ dirt and no bearing gone out). I hooked up a different 3-pin fan and it didnt' spin on either of these. So presumably these boards they are using may have an issue with the 3-pin heatsink fan connector losing power, thus eventually frying the proc and who knows what else. I'll do some looking to see if these have the same boards, etc. in them. Just seeing if anyone else has come across this on these models...maybe we can work on getting a recall of sorts or something :D

The one I was working on yesterday has a dead PSU cooling fan, after about 5 minutes of heavy use the system shuts off. Told the user and he is talking about a replacement from a local shop. Working IT support where the users have their own systems since they are contractors can be challenging. I have a motherboard from one that I do not want to put in someone else's due to the problems it has. A leftover from my warranty servincg days. New, in the bag and not used. The problem was a different part, but the parts are so cheap they didn't want the old parts back. All of the other systems I used to service wanted almost all parts returned after servicing was done. Good luck on those two, it sounds like motherboard time.
