i have an ei systems 4411 laptop and want to upgrade the memory, every site that i have been on says there are 2 available slots but i can only find 1 in the back of the laptop ?does anyone know where the other is hiding and how easy is it to get to??

Laptops normally have TWO RAM slots and ONE will already be filled. So it is normal to find one empty. Why aren't you consulting your manual?
i have no manual, the laptop was given to me just on its own!
i have done a cpu-z check it says 1 slot has 256mb installed and the other is empty? i just dont know where to look for it?
It appears the manufacturer is no longer in business. Below is a link that may be of some help. I suggest you go to crucial.com and use their online scan to determine what type and size RAM can be used. The original RAM may even be soldered to the motherboard and therefore not removable. Perhaps you can get enough of an upgrade from the one slot.
This laptop does indeed have 2 slots, the 2nd slot is located underneath the keyboard and a bit trickier to access. Check with these guys below:
