i have a motherboard i got from a friend, i moved the motherboard to my own project setup, but i want to know if there is a bios update for it.
the motherboard has no stickers with info on it or any signs of removed stickers. i also looked over the entire pcb and i couldn't find any version info or anything

i used a handful of programs to scan the motherboard but non could figure out exactly which one it is.

for a start i know its a ecs socket 462 amd with chipset sis730s and superIO ITE 8705/SiS 950 rev 1

bios is AMI and id is
62-0914-001437-00101111-071595-SiS730S-M810LR-H

i found a motheboard online that looks EXACTLY like mine, but its doesn't have that much info and the bios id doesn't have the last -h on it
http://images.google.com/imgres?img...

i found a motherboard on the ecs site that looks like it but its a bit different as you can see in the above link
motherboard k7sem is the closest i found so far.

please let me know of anything i can do to help find the motherboard model and see if i can update the bios. thanks!!!

:)

but the PCCHIPS website only has the M810L
i think i read that the r is for lan port or not, could this be true? or is it diffrent, i also found pcb rev# 5 on the very very edge of the m/o

why do you want to update the BIOS, do you have a problem that you know a BIOS update will fix. otherwise there is no point in running the risk of a problem.

well i just checked the bios update change log and it didn't have the usb boot support that i was hope, i guess i will have to try some sort of boot manager like plop or something, but im not sure if that will work either, i think the usb can't be on a pci controller like this board has.
