(first many thanks for bearing my eglish)

I build a basic system...
mid. Tower 300w
ecs k7s6a mobo.
Amd duron 1300
256mb ddr pc2100
cooler (cool king)amd/athlon
floppy disk
(for the moment a pci graphic card)

First problem i encounterd was the cables, it was not really clear so i limited it to the power-switch and speaker kabel.

Secondly i switcht it on, but stupid enough i forgot the monitor cable. It did found the floppy drive. So i tried to switch it off. I did not at that time know that you should press the button 5 seconds. but after a wile it switcht off anyway. When i felt the cooler it must have been over 60c. so i let it cool off.

Later on i tried it again. Just the cooler fans where working.
and the onboard memory led. So guess i just blew up the processor or something. I'f been asking around. What i heard was it could have been the pci graphic card that could have coused an fatal error.

I'm still pusseld. question could the motherboard be damaged too?
I just left the multiplier on automatic.
Can someone please assist? I don't like to just try again!

Thought i done everything carefull enough.

Many thanks!
