Hi,i bought some ram on Ebay but he conveniently forgot to mention it was 'ECC Registered'ram, and i didn't know about my board taking 'non-ECC' only, every other detail of the ram he said in auction was fine. So, i was just going to resell it but i thought mmm,im needing to update motherboard anyway i'll just try and get a Mobo to suit the ram, this isn't so easy looking around, does this ram have to be used in computers used as servers or are there AMD processor based Mobo,s for a desktop PC that will do?,incidentally it would have to be either a Via chipset based board or i think its SIS845 based or maybe just SIS in general, hope someone can help, cheers,Lee.

Sell it off, get "normal" RAM & find a decent board to go with it
