Comment:

I have a DDR Ram that is ECC that is 512mb, and the motherboard does not support ECC. Would I still be able to use this Ram even though my motherboard does not support DDR Memory with ECC?

yes.

there are two types of ECC ram - those with an extra ram chip which is the same type as the rest of the chips), and one with a smaller chip.

either way, just turn off ECC checking in the bios.
