Hi I just purchased a new system and my LCD has the DVI connection as well as the analog. I was checking in my manual and step 2 is "connect 15pin d-sub cable (analog)"....and then step 4 is "connect 24pin dvi cable". I was thinking that I would only need one or the other....I tried it with just the DVI cable and it seemed to work fine....so my question is ... do I only need the DVI or do I need to connect the other one as well? Thanks Homer

You are correct. You only need one or the other, not both. So, since you have both options choose the DVI as it should give you a higher quality image.
