Hi! I had just saw a dvd-writer for sale but I am not sure of it whether that is what I want to buy! Here is the description of the product.

--> DVD Writer * Dual Version

May I know what dual version and the writer means??? Is it works like rewriter?? Coz I only know cd rewriter and never seen one without the word "re".

Please help!

Thanks

I don't understand "dual version". But could it have been `dual layer'? Newer DVD drives are able to record two layers of data. Doubling the amount that can be stored on a disc.

Dual Version `might' mean it is compatible with both -DVD and +DVD discs.

From my understanding, duel means it will write both dvd's and cd's

No, I agree with Ham.
Dual version/dual writer means both + and -.
Dual layer means that you'll be able to use dual layer dvd's for twice as much storage capacity.
