I recently bought a PC game which is only DVD compatible (The Sims 2 Bon Voyage Expansion and University) and it seems my optical drive can't read either of them, but the older expansions do. I've even gone as far as to switch the optical for another one from a computer that could read the discs, and they still don't work. I keep getting a message saying that the discs are either damaged or are in an unknown format, so I'm thinking that my PC has a problem updating the correct driver.

(Sorry for the stupidly long post)

If the other DVD's worked and this one doesn't in any drive, perhaps bring it back to the store for a title to title exchange. I now Staples doesn't have a problem with things like that.
