My Sony DRU-800A does not recognize in Win XP. I checked my BIOS, and It shows up there, but when I boot into windows and go to device manager, it lists as a Generic DVD-ROM SCSI Device. Can anyone help me?

umm... did u install the device when ure computer was off? Did u check ure jumper settings. Did u plug the IDE cable in properly? I think u put the jumper into the wrong slot, since its recognised by ure BIOS.

I have 2 drives. I have a Mitsumi 52X CD-Rom, and the Sony DRU-800A DVD+-R/RW. The Mitsumi is Master and the Sony is Slave.
