i hv this lg dvd writer just 6 months old,i was writing some dvds (backups) and suddenly after the 3rd dvd the 4rth one neither detected nor wrote. pls help its not detecting any of the dvds i wrote or ne other software cds/dvds
i have loads of queries

Are you sure the 4th DVD is a good one? There are such things as bad ones. Mebbee, try another one or two?

Well how long was the warranty?
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

My Lite-on dvd writer drive that came with my Compaq broke when I was attempting to recover my system using a sert of backup dvds. It read the DVDs into the second one and then just stopped with a CRC error. This also ruined my operating system. When I finally got the computer working I found I could not read CDs. The motor did not appear to be turning. I replaced the DVD drive.

sorry guys something to add after i restarted my comp the 3 dvds started working and also other cds but the 4th dvd which was working 1 hr ago is not working at all can i repair it shows 0byte and used 0byte in properties
i have loads of queries
