I have a Toshiba P4 Tecra 9100 operating on Windows XP SP2. I am using Nero 6.6.0.12 currently to burn all my mps into cds for backup. Recently, I have been having problems trying to play these audio cds. They all showed up as blank cds even though I'm very sure that the burning process was complete. It was only once in a while I managed to play one (that was burnt with Nero). I have no problems playing audio cds bought in shops.
Please help!!

try playing the cds on a regular hi-fi system, and if they dont work...try again.
What were you doing on the computer when you were burning them?CHECK OUT MY MUSIC AT HTTP:\\ROAST.DMUSIC.COM
1040Mhz Pentium 3 OC'd at 1.2Ghz
Aopen MX3WPRO-E mobo
Intel 810 chipset
Onboard Graphics-RECENTLY UPGRADED TO 64MB PCI SAPPHIRE RADEON 7000<

try those cds in a different comp and also check the data which you burned coz at times if the burning process has a problem then no data is wriitten on the cds which cannot be viewed even.

Hi Guys,
Have same problem and think it's Sony malware causing it. To cut a long story short alot of Sony audio CDs now contain software that appears to work like a trojan virus:- Installing itself as a rootkit and leaving your system open to attack. Problem is that it is almost impossible to remove without compromising your system in other ways. Various spyware prodcuts and even microsoft have solutions for removing the malware but it often leaves your system unable to recognise audio cds. At the moment I can only play cds manufactured by Sony. If you manage to find solution on the net please post it up here so I can resolve problem on my PC.
Cheers,
Ken
