Will a DVD/CDRW Combi drive write DVD's or do i need to purchase a DVD Rewriter to do this??

You need to purchase a DVD re-writer

As an FYI, DVD-RW devices are capable of reading and writing to both DVD and CD media.

I have two DVD/CD recorders. Each record to both DVDs and CDs. But you have to be careful and read the documentation when you are buying a drive.

A sure way to tell is to look at he specs. For exampe here are the specs for one drive: Memorex 8X Dual Format DVD Recorder, Model 32023269 Read Speed: 40X CD-ROM, 12X DVD-ROM Write Speed: 8X DVD+R, 4X DVD+RW, 8X DVD-R, 4X DVD-RW, 24X CD-R, 24X CD-RW You can see that it can read both CDs and DVDs and write to CDs and DVDs (both + and -). Here is another drive: Sony Beige 52X32X52X16 Combo Drive, Model CRX320E Read Speed: 52X CD-ROM, 16X DVD-ROM Write Speed: 52X CD-R, 32X CD-RW You can see that it can read both CDs and DVDs but only write to CDs.
