Hi,
I have a few of these disks, empty, that I would like to write to,but my DVD writer does not recognize them.
I've read that this (DVD -R) is an older technology that does not play well with the newer writers. I may have, or be able to get, a writer that will write to them; but before I do, I'd like to know if, after having written to them, will newer players refuse to read them?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
...... john

DVD-R should play well with any new player. Try a different brand of disc, some drives are finicky with certain brands.
Thanks THX 1138,
After I posted this I tried another DVD recorder, which did the job. After burning my files (JPGs), I put the disc into the recorder that refused recognize it before burning, and it read the files. Go figure!
Thanks for you help.
