Hello. I'm in the market for a DVD Writer. I don't really know the technobabble associated with these drives so am not sure what I should be looking for. I live in Canada and currently, Future shop has two models by LG for the same price - $79.99 Canadian, regular $129.00
One is the LG 16 x 16 DL DVD Rewriter (GSA-4167B) here:

The other is the LG 16X Dual Layer DVD Rewriter (GSA-4167F)
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10069241&catid=
They both seem identical except the (GSA-4167F) seems to be "dual layer". Anyone with knowledge of DVD writers, your input would be appreciated. I can't find much in the way of reviews on these LG drives. I do have a LG CD-burner which has worked fine for me.
Are these drives good and good for the money or is there another brand I should look at?
Thanks

I secomd badboy. If the price of DL DVD is within your affordable range (most are anyway), go for it. DL DVD writers allow you to burn up to 8.7 giggies whereas the ordinary DVD writers is limited to 4.2 GB

One says double layer and one says duel layer. Any difference? According to the close up pictures of both boxes, they both do 8.5 gig. The only difference is one is called GSA-4167B and the other GSA-4167F.
Would the change from "B" to "F" simply be a firmware upgrade? Actually, both boxes name the product as the "B" version. Perhaps there is a typo on the futureshop website?
