I just bought myself a new DVD Rewriter from Ebuyer. The specific drive is here: http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/101321
Why is it that whenever I attempt to start my PC with the drive connected, the computer will automatically boot to the BIOS setup utility rather than Windows?
Also, within the setup utility, the name of the drive is a long line of jumbled characters rather than it's actual name.
Another thing about this problem is that when the DVD RW is not connected, my CD RW drive (from the same manufacturer) works fine and the computer will also boot to Windows. But when the drive is connected and the computer boots to the BIOS setup utility, the CD RW drive is not detected in the BIOS.
After cancelling the BIOs screen, Windows will boot normally with the DVD RW connected, but under My Computer, neither the DVD RW or the CD RW are present.
Any idea what's up?
Thanks

Appologies for this post - I overlooked the obvious jumper setting, corrected it, and now the drive works fine.
