I've just bought a Pioneer DVR108 DVD RW 16x Dual Layer. What speed DVD's can i use to copy software, and can i use CDR discs?? If you need any further info on the DVD RW here is the link.

WEll, it says right on the site you posted what the burning speeds are DVD Write Speed (+R Double Layer/+R/-R/+RW-RW/RAM): x4/x16/x16/x4/x4/-
And yes you can use CD-R discs as it also states the writing speed for those
CD Write Speed Rating (R/RW): x40/x32

I posted this in your other thread as well XP's built-in burning software is for CD's not DVD's. It also depends what type of music file you are writing to the disc. If you're trying to put MP3 files on the disc, it should work fine. If your trying to make an audio DVD like an audio CD, it won't work that way.
