Comment:
I have a dvd/cd writer combo drive (model SH-S182M). I think it is a samsung but Im too lazy to open the computer and look. I am able to burn DVDs but the drive will not read them. When I browse the DVD it does not show any files on the DVD although the files show up on my other computer. Any ideas where I should start?

At a store for a new burner.

The read diode is gone or out of whack.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10
