What kind of files? Didn't the DVD burner come with something like Nero. If so, that is all you really need. With WinXP you probably don't even need that.

Generaly any dvd burner that comes bundeled with some kind of software unless it's oem. The computer dvd burner is intended to burn files too not just movies.
Nero is my favorite. Then I think pinnacle studio. There's always the ol adaptec.
There may be some free ones out there too.
