my Sony DVD writer is not responding at all, not even ejecting It is detecting the drive as in a DVD RAM drive but its not even ejecting it & when i press the eject button i do see a green light which blinks for a while n then disappears nothing happens when i click on my dvd driver .. it shows that i dont hav a DVD in it although i do have a DVD in it (but a blank one) .. & when i try ejecting it , nothing happens even when i manually press the eject button.. & in 'my computer' it shows "DVD RAM drive" I am sure it was something else before like 'SONY DVD RW DW GW102A' .. thats wat i see in the device manager I have faced this problem before & it would ressolve by itself on reboot but now its persisting thanks in advance

Not sure what is going on with your drive but you can manually eject the disk by inserting a small wire, like a straightened paperclip into the small hole just below the drive door. This should release the lock and allow you to pull the tray open.
