i have sony ddu1622 dvd rom it works fine in win2000 but when i use it in winxp it says I/O device error when i copy any file from dvd. i tried to use it on another system running win98 , it was detected in the bios but the windows does not detect it. can any one help me?

You may need to install the MBoard chipset drivers under WinXP.
